The shocking murder of Baba Siddiqui, a former Maharashtra minister and a prominent leader of the Ajit Pawar faction of the NCP, continues to unfold with new revelations from the Mumbai Police investigation. Several accused had conducted multiple reconnaissance trips to Siddiqui’s house without carrying weapons, meticulously preparing for the final act. Investigators also uncovered that the accused used social media platforms like Snapchat for communication and Instagram for calling. This finding highlights how technology was leveraged in the criminal operation.
While four individuals are in custody, three others remain on the run, and the Mumbai Police are intensifying their search efforts.
Weapons Recovered
In a significant breakthrough, police have recovered three pistols used in the assassination: an Australian-made Glock pistol, a Turkish pistol, and a country-made gun. A black bag containing a 7.62mm gun was also found, further implicating those involved in the crime.
